Job Description

Crossgates River Oaks Hospital, an HMA facility in Brandon, Mississippi is seeking a  Med/Peds Hospitalist, an employed position.  Compensation – 240K annual salary; call 1:3 (phone/beeper night call) Block Schedule 7 on/7 off; shift 8am – 6pm; 15-20 patients per day on average; relocation allowance, commitment bonus.

Crossgates River Oaks Hospital (formerly Rankin Medical Center) is a 134-bed acute care facility known for its commitment of providing family oriented and quality patient care to residents of Rankin County and surrounding areas since 1969.  Our parent company is Health Management Associates in Naples, Florida.  We are fully accredited by the Joint Commission and the State of Mississippi.  Our specialties include Cardiology, Emergency Medicine, Family Practice, Gastroenterology, Otolaryngology, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Pediatrics, Radiology General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery Neurosurgery, Oral surgery, Urology and Vascular Surgery.  Our medical staff consists of 155 active physicians and 72 additional physicians on courtesy staff. We have three full-time Internal Medicine and Pediatric Hospitalists who care for inpatients referred by physicians is an array of specialties.  The surgical suite of the hospital included four operating rooms, 12 same day surgery rooms, two endoscopy rooms, one minor treatment room, and seven-bed ICU. For the second year in a row, CROH was a finalist in the Best Places to Work in Mississippi through an employee survey.  CROH also ranked number one not only within Health Management Associates group of hospital.  The hospital has also been honored for its commitment to serving their patients with quality care.  The Commonwealth Fund, a private foundation that promotes high performance health systems, supported an independent research study conducted by the Economic and Social Research Institutes which identified CROH as one of the “Top 100 Most Improved Hospitals in the National.”  In addition, the hospital was selected as one of only four hospitals to be features in a case study.  The other hospital chosen are Beth Israel Medical Center in New York; Legacy Health Systems in Portland Oregon and St. Mary’s Health System in Athens, Georgia. CROH is located in Rankin County in Brandon, Mississippi, east of Jackson, the state capital.  Rankin is one of the three counties that compose the majority of the Metro Jackson population of over 750,000 and enjoy some of the highest per capita income and population growth rates in the nation.  Low taxes, excellent schools and reasonable real estate prices make Rankin a wise choice.
