Brandon, MS- J. Allen Tyra, CEO of Crossgates River Oaks Hospital, recently announced the addition of John W. Cope, M.D., to its active medical staff.

Dr. Cope received his bachelor of science degree from Emory University and medical degree from the Emory University School of Medicine. He then went on to complete an internship and residency at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta.

He has over 26 years of experience as an orthopedic surgeon and most recently was employed by Health Management Associates at Riley Hospital in Meridian. In addition to being board certified, Dr. Cope is a member of the American Medial Association, American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeon and Mississippi Orthopedic Surgeons.
