J. Allen Tyra

Allen joined Crossgates River Oaks Hospital in October of 2007.  Prior to this he had been Chief Executive Officer at Lehigh Regional Medical Center in Lehigh Acres, FL since 2005.    Allen and his family are very excited about returning to Mississippi.  They have heard so many positive things about Rankin County; they are anxious to become a part of this dynamic, growing community that offers such a wonderful quality of life. 

Prior to joining HMA, Allen was employed in the healthcare industry by another healthcare management firm for several years; before that he was the Director of Cardiopulmonary Services at the University of South Alabama, where he was promoted to management positions after joining the hospital as a respiratory therapist in 1987.  He received both his undergraduate and master of business administration degrees from the University of South Alabama at Mobile.
